What is MYO?

Orofacial MYOfunctional Therapy is a highly specialized neuromuscular re-education program which uses specialized exercises to improve oral resting posture, breathing, and swallowing.

It helps correct Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs), which can impact facial muscle development and essential functions like eating, speaking, and breathing in children and adults.  

 

This is done by addressing the root cause of the dysfunction.

My goal for my clients:

I completed an intensive 70 hour training course through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT).  They are the leading post graduate training academy for allied health professionals for treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders.

 

As an orofacial  myofunctional therapist, my mission is to help individuals of all ages achieve optimal oral function, breathing, and overall wellness.​  I help you do this by addressing your myofunctional disorders,  strengthening orofacial muscles, and promoting nasal breathing, I aim to help you  enhance speech, swallowing, sleep quality and many other aspects of health.
